ALL IN THE FAMILY
"Dear Red Sail,
We had the greatest time diving with you last week. Thanks to
Clare and her expert instruction, our five-year-old son has
officially gotten the diving bug and is now counting down the days
to his 10th birthday for certification at the Great Barrier Reef!
You guys were great to be with and we thank you again! We got the
kids their own 'Fluffy' stuffed stingrays and the kids sleep with
them every night. All the best and hope to see you again soon!

YOUNG CAYMANIANS LEARN THE ROPES
Anthony Clarke, 19, and Pedro Triana, 18 work as beach attendants
with Red Sail Sports Cayman. Very soon, both will be taking a
Dayskipper Course as part of their company training program. The
40-hour course will give them a comprehensive introduction to
chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship.
Having recently completed their PADI Open Water Certification
Course with Red Sail Sports, these Caymanian gentlemen are right
on track to pursue a career in watersports with RSS!

STAY- FOCUSED WITH THE NFL
During the recent 2007 NFL Quarterback Challenge in Grand Cayman,
Brandon Lloyd, wide receiver for the Washington Redskins, spent
some quality time with two Stay-Focused divers, Ryan Chalmers and
Jackie Cimino. Pictured above, Brandon chats with his new friends
at the Red Sail Sports dive shop at the Hyatt Regency prior to
accompanying them on a dive.
Stay-Focused is a nonprofit organization enabling teens with
disabilities to become certified SCUBA divers. Red Sail Sports, a
generous supporter of Stay-Focused, sponsored this dive trip.

HUMPBACK WHALES RETURN TO HAWAII
Within the next few weeks and through April, the Humpback Whales
will make their annual migration. Traveling up to 3,600 miles from
chilly Alaskan seas to the warm Hawaiian waters, the humpbacks
mate, give birth and nurse their young. Weighing about 3,000
pounds, humpback calves are born beneath the water and need to be
pushed to the surface by their mothers to take their first breath
of air. Calves stay very close to their mothers for the first year
as they feed on their mother's milk and learn to swim. A calf will
consume about 50 gallons of milk per day and grow by about 100
pounds daily. Red Sail Sports offers daily Whale Watch Cruises
beginning December 16 through mid-April.

Spotlight on an Employee: ARUBA -
Leo Donato
|
|
|
|
For three decades, Leo Donato worked in front of a computer.
Finally, his doctor told him that he could lose his vision if he
didn't stop staring at the computer screen. Following doctor's
orders, Leo packed up and searched out a new occupation.
Fortunately for Red Sail Sports, he decided to capitalize on his
good sense of humor and easy-going personality by joining our
team.
During his first year with RSS Aruba, Leo was named both Employee
of the Month and Employee of the Year. So it is no surprise that
Leo is currently a candidate for the Aruba Hotel & Tourism
Association's 2007 Shoco Awards as the Allied Employee of the
Year.
June 2008 will mark Leo's five year anniversary with Red Sail
Sports as a bus driver. But he's so much more. He's more of an
ambassador of Red Sail Sports and the island of Aruba. He
accomplishes this by bringing creativity to his job, offering
short, spontaneous bus tours to guests who were only expecting
transportation services to and from their hotels for RSS
activities. Leo takes pleasure in introducing all of Aruba's
treasures to his passengers, while also recommending restaurants
that serve Creole food, venues with the best entertainment, as
well as other island activities and attractions. Anyone who's met
Leo knows how easily this guy makes friends with Aruba's guests.
We wish Leo luck to win the coveted title at the November 30th
awards dinner. For all he's done and for all who he's made smile,
Leo obviously deserves to win. But if he does or if he doesn't,
he's still always a winner to Red Sail!
FROM THE EDITOR'S HELM: I remember the first time I met Leo
after he joined the company in Aruba. I told my General Manager,
Peter, that he was a great addition to the team. After all, Leo is
naturally friendly and a very pleasant, outgoing person. He is a
credit to the company and to his island home. We take pride in all
our employees and hope that they will always make your visit a
special one.

"Thank you so much. My husband will be so excited to get the

years ago to Aruba. Thank you!
