BIG
ISLAND FESTIVAL... Last November, the Big Island of Hawaii had its first
'Big Island Festival.' 157 events took place during this week long
celebration. (Photo at right: Chef Willie of Hilton Waikoloa Village)
Red Sail Sports participated by hosting the photo shoot and
"Survivor Sail" with Keith Famie for his TV cooking show.
The Hilton Waikoloa Village, Outrigger, Orchid at Mauna Lani, Mauna
Lani Hotel and Kona Village hosted evening events of food, famous chefs and
entertainment. A favorite event was the "IRON CHEF" cook off filmed
for TV with Chef Morimoto.
Some events were sold out! The dates for this year's event are
November 5 - 9, 2003 so plan on joining us then for the events and activities
with Red Sail Sports!

LOCAL
STUDENTS GET CERTIFIED... 14 Students from John Gray High School successfully
completed The PADI Open Water Course as part of their school studies during the
Christmas term. The twelve-week program included academic sessions, confined
and open water dives to meet the required standard for PADI certification. The
course run annually by Red Sail Sports is aimed at promoting diving to
Cayman's youth, which may in the future help them to pursue a career in the
Cayman Island dive industry. James Dudley, Director of Training at Red Sail
Sports praised the high level of commitment that the students showed throughout
their training, and added that several of the students had overcome
difficulties to complete the program and that it had indeed been a pleasure to
reward each student with certification.
QUINCENTENNIAL VACATION PACKAGES... Cayman's 500th Anniversary

RUMBA WEDDING... Recently, Ashley and Chris Hickmon tied the knot aboard Red
Sail Sports luxurious catamaran 'The Rumba.' Chris and Ashley were
thrilled with the first class treatment they received and said "our
